The city of Grozny was founded in 1818 by the general of the Russian Imperial Army A. P. Ermolov. Originally it was a fortress, which then grew into the city of Grozny.

Grozny is a city in the North Caucasus, in the south of Russia, the capital of the Chechen Republic. The capital of Chechnya.

Сity history
The city of Grozny has survived two civil wars, was destroyed as a result of hostilities. Since the beginning of the 21st century, it has been actively restored. Modern residential quarters, mosques, shopping centers, museums, and sports facilities have appeared in Grozny. Many of them claim European and Russian records in size. The tourist infrastructure of Grozny is also gradually developing: high-class hotels are being built, restaurants and cafes are opening, and recreation parks.
As of 2021 , the population is about 324 602 people.

Attractions
The Cathedral Mosque with the poetic name "The Heart of Chechnya" is a grandiose Muslim temple.
