Australian War Memorial
Australia's national memorial to all members of the Australian Defense Force who have died or served in all wars waged by the Commonwealth. The memorial includes a large national military museum. The Australian War Memorial was opened in 1941 and is considered the most important memorial of its type in the world.

National Museum of Australia
One of the largest museums in Australia, founded in 1980. The museum presents an exhibition dedicated to the social history of Australia, the main issues, people and events that shaped the modern Australian nation.

Parliament House
The Parliament building is located in the center of Canberra on a hill. City blocks and highways diverge from it in a circle. In 1988, it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II herself. The structure is surrounded by an artificial pond with fountains, and a tall intricately shaped flagpole rises above it.

National Gallery of Australia
The Canberra Art Gallery exhibits very interesting collections: Aboriginal art, works by French artists, paintings by Chinese, Japanese and Thai masters, American and European pop art. One of the sections displays an impressive herbarium of several million plants. The fauna of the garden is also very diverse: insects, reptiles, birds and mammals. On the paths and lawns you can even meet opossum and kangaroo.

Burley Griffin
The artificial pond Burley Griffin is located in the center of Canberra. On its banks are all the main attractions of the capital, as well as parks, gardens and numerous recreation areas. Cycling and hiking trails are laid around the lake, sports competitions are often held on its banks.

Weston Park
One of the favorite parks of Canberra residents is located on the picturesque shores of Lake Burley Griffin. It is located on a small elongated peninsula. This is a great place for a weekend in nature, golf and petanque, boat trips, bird watching and kangaroos. Groups of friends come here to barbecue, outdoor enthusiasts to ride a bike, families with children to sunbathe on the beach and let their offspring frolic on the playgrounds or ride a miniature railway on a real locomotive.
