What holiday do American and English people celebrate in December?

Today we’ll have a Christmas competition. You’ ll get some cards from which you should choose one. Each of them has a number. All people who have number 1 , are team number 1 . Those who have number 2 you are team number 2

5. Choose the capitan of your team. Give a winter name to your teams. So lets start.

Each team will get a card with a poem. Read it and try to guess where Santa Claus lives:

Santa Claus lives in.....
He is funny and merry
His cheeks are like roses
His nose like cherry.

The task 2"": Santa claus comes to houses through the chimneys. Your task is to put the chimneys back before Santa Claus arrives

The task 3"": you*ll get some puzzles (см приложение). You should make pictures from them

The 4th task: Read these sentences and put them in the right order. Say what this poem about:
It’s winter, it’s Christmas (4)

Look at our Christmas tree (2)

There are big balls; there are nice toys (1)

Many candles you can see

The 5th task: Name as many as you know to decorate  christmas tree

The 6th task: Peple celebrate each other with Christmas. Try to guess what they wish:

The 7th task: People send Greeting Cards every year. You"ll get the greetings, the words are mixed. Put them in right order: 
WE WISH YOU MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

The 8th task: Find the words connected with Christmas:
CHRISTMAS , GREEN , RED , MERRY , DECEMBER , SANTA , STOCKING

. The 9" task: You’Il get a poem. Act it out:
Bend your hand, bend your knees.

Grow as tall as Christmas trees.
Raise your head
Jump up high
Wave you’re your hand and say “Good Bye”.

15.The 10" task: Look at the Christmas Calendar. There are some questions in it.

The captains should answer the questions:
When is Christmas celebrated?
Who brings presents for children?
Where does Santa Claus put his presents?
What do people decorate before Christmas?
What is there in Santa Claus’ bag?
When does Santa Claus come to houses?
What is the most famous Christmas Song?

At the end of competition lets sing the traditional Christmas song "Jingle Bells.''
