moths - an insect with wings that is similar to a butterfly, usually flies at night, and is attracted to light
plight [plaɪt]- an unpleasant condition, especially a serious, sad, or difficult one
haunting - beautiful, but in a sad way and often in a way that cannot be forgotten
blubber - the thick layer of fat under the skin of sea mammals, such as whales, that keeps them warm
